Margaret Keane
Margaret D. H. Keane is an American artist who mainly paints women, children, and animals with big eyes in oil or mixed media.
She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 15, 1927
Keane's works are recognizable by the oversized, doe-like eyes of her subjects.
Margaret married Walter Keane in 1955. He stole her paintings and claimed he had painted her works. Margaret & Walter divorced in 1965. You can watch Margaret tell her story here.
